Dr. Vena Symonette-Johnson returned to her alma mater in Fall 2025, assuming the role聽of Dean of the School of Business and Aeronautical Sciences in January 2026. A proud聽Florida 久久精品福利资源 alumna, she graduated with honors with a B.S. in聽Aeronautical Science before earning a double Master鈥檚 in Aerospace/Aeronautical Science聽from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Doctorate in International Business聽Administration from Atlantic International University.
With a distinguished 37-year career in aviation beginning in 1989, Dr. Symonette-Johnson聽rose from customer service to senior management. A commercial pilot and Certified Flight聽Instructor, she has dedicated her life to the industry and her students, previously assisting聽Capt. Barrington Irving with his historic world flight. Beyond her leadership at FMU, she is聽a Realtor, a devoted children’s ministry servant, and an active leader in organizations聽like OBAP and the Greater Miami Aviation Association.
